(From oub, own Correspondent.) MELBOURNE, Thursday. The Govern .ment have decided to dispense with the seiv’iees of Mr T. Bolatn, InspectorGeneral of t he Education Department, who was the petitioner in the recent divorce case, in which th e jury were unable to agree upon a vredict. It is probable thatjMr Bolam will receive a pension. Rubina has been scratched for the Melbourne Cup.
. SYDNEY, Thursday. The City of Sydney, which sailed for San Francisco via Auckland this afternoon, takes L 70,000 in specie from this port. A sculling match has been arranged between two well-known oarsmen, Trickett and Kush, for L2OO aside.
