JQ’OTICE is hereby given that it Is the intention of the Cook County Council to eonstruct a public drain through * portion of the Ruangarehu Block, Waimata survey district, Waikobn Riding, Cook County, and for that purpose to take all that portion of land commencing at ■ point on the Gisborne-Opotiki main road 1704 links from the boundary of the Road Reserve on the western bank of the Waipao* river, and extending thence toward the soutb-eut by right lines 886 links and 698'5 links respectively, to the Waipio, river, and containing by admeasurement one acre and thirty-one porches, as the same is delineated on a plan to be seen at the residence of Mr George Scott, Ruangarehu. All persons affected by the above public works are required to set forth in writin any well-grounded objections they may have to the execution of the said works, and to send such writing to the office of the Cook County Council, Gisborne, within 40 days from the date of this notice.
