COOK COUNTY COUNCIL, is hereby given that it is the intention of the Cook County Council to con. struct a public drain through a portion of the Ruangarehu Block, Waimata survey district, Waikohn Riding, Cook County, and for that purpose to take all that portion of land commencing at a point on the Gisborne-Opotiki main road 1704 links from the boundary of the Road Reserve on the western bank of the Waipaoa river, and extending thence toward the south-east by right lines 886 links and 698'5 links respectively, to thelWaipaoa river, and containing by admeasurement one acre and thirty-one perches, as the same is delineated on a plan to be seen at the residence of Mr George Scott, Ruangarehu. All persons affected by the above public works are required to set forth in writiu any well-grounded objections they may have to the execution of the said works, and to send such writing to the office of the Cook County Council, Gisborne, within 40 days from the date of this notice, Dated at Gisborne this 25th day of September, 1883. And for the purpose of making thisYleviation of the line of road will take the required land from sections 59, 60 and 61, as delineated on plans to be seen at the office of the Council, Gladstone road, Gisborno. All persons affected by these alterations are required, within 40 days from the date hereof, to set forth in writing any objections they may

have to the proposed deviation of the line of road. And further notice is given that the Cook County Council propose to stop the original line of road forming the South Eastern boundaries of Sections 59, 60 and 61, Block 9, Waimata Survey District, and to provide in lieu of such road to be stopped a road through the above sections as before described. Any person having any objection to the proposed stoppage is required to make such objection, in writing, within 8 weeks from the date of this notice.
