(from our own correspondent.) SYDNEY, Tuesday. The divorce case Honw itz v. Honwitz and Solomon was concluded to-day. The jury returned a verdict for petitioner (the husband, with damages £3OOO against the corespondent. MELBOURNE, Tuesday. Among the passengers by the Messaguies Maritimes Saphalim, now in this port and homeward bound for Marseilles, are the Irish informers Hanlon and Kavanagh. The men are travelling under assumed names, but their identity has been completely established, and they will not be permitted to land. The following horses have been scratched for the Melbourne Cup. . Caractatus, Thorntopper, and Mountebank. The Presbytery met tu-duy, for the purpose of taking into consideration the charge of heresy against the Rev. Charles Strong. After hearing some formal evidence, the Presbytery adjourned till Thursday next. Obituary : Robert McGregor, M.L.A., for Emerald Hill.
