Barnton is a brother to Voltigeur. Bothwell has proved himself a sure foalgetter, and his stock, as two-year-olds, are well known to be the best in the district. He made hi, first appearance in Wellington, where he started in a two and-a-half mile race, weight for age, beating Whitefoot, Gazelle, and others. Then went to Napier, where he was beaten by Never Miss by a head, New Chum carrying 211 b, over, Never Mis, beating Lady Grey and others.
