Bth, at 7 p.m. The next steamer of the P. and 0. Company leaves Melbourne on Sept. 25th. Correspondence specially so addressed and prepaid the Brindisi rates of postage, vis., eightpenoe per h&lf-ounoe, will be forwarded by every opportunity. The next inward European mail via San Francisco, is due at Gisborne on Friday, September 21. This mail left London on Angust 9th. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, Asia, Africa, America and West Indies via San Francisco, also the Sandwich Islands, on Friday, 7th Sept, at 8 p.m. Money orders may be obtained and letters registered until 1 p.m. same day. This mail will be due in London on the 22nd Oct, 1883. Note—Money orders should be obtained, and letters registered one hour before the time of closing any J. Bhrimpton, Chief Postmaster.
