THE TICKET-OF-LEAVE MAN.
Last night the above play was placed on the boards, and though we felt assured of the success of the piece from the creditable manner in which the rehearsals were gone through, we confess that our expectations fell far short of the reality. Want of space, we are sorry to say, prevents us giving a detailed account such as the piece deserves, and we are compelled to content ourselves with saying that the performers vied with each other in excelling in their parts. The was well filled, and the audience deWe believe that, at the earnest request of a large number of spectators, another representation will be given.
