(from our own correspondent.) MELBOURNE, Saturday. A communication has been received from the Gorman Government, in reply to Mr. Berry’s intimation of the result of the recent Postal Conferenoo held in Sydney in May last. The State Secretary to the German Postal Department, writing on behalf of the Government, states it would be impossible to countenance the demand of the Colonies for a separate vote in the affairs of the Postal Union, and urges tha! the question bo loft to a vote of the International Convention to be held next year.
