THE TICKET OF LEAVE MAN
A full rehearsal of the above play took place last night in Parnell and Boylan’s Hall. The parts seem to have been carefully studied, and the character of Bob Brierley (Mr T. Wriglev) is likely to be well sustained, whilst that of May Edwards is sure to meet with every attention under the skilful and able management of Madame Stewart. The part of Mr Gibson is ably represented by Mr W. J. Willoughby, whilst Mr James Clayson shines as Hawkshaw. MrE H. Pavitt seems quite at home in the character of Green -Tones ; and Miss Walters has evidently devoted great study to the part of Emily St. Everymond which i« certainly a rather difficult part, nevertheless it seems the intention of this young lady to thoroughly master it. Sam Wilioughby has a very good representative in Master Vaudy ; whilst Miss Vane as Mrs Willoughby, is perfection. Mr J, Miller as Melter Moss is quite satisfactory, and Mr N. Thornton is efficient as Jim Dalton and the character of Maltby is safe in the charge of Mr J. Brodie. The whole piece is tolerably well cast and mounted, and will, no doubt, afford an excellent night’s amusement.
