THE NEW LIBRABY BUILDINGS.
Thi new Library buildings consist of an erection containing seven rooms in all. The Library proper lies at the rear of the County and Borough Council offices, and is a separate and detached building consisting of reading add Committee rooms, the dimensions of the former being 81ft by 21ft and 15ft high, lighted by four large windows. The committee room adjoins the former and is 14ft long by 12ft wide and 14ft high. The County Council offices consist of one room 24ft by 17ft, and the Borough Council two rooms 12ft by 17ft and 14ft high, The Library rooms are reached through a long hall, flanked on either side by the parochial offices, of 40 feet in length and 8$- feet wide. The whole building is well-lighted and thoroughly ventilated, and we can only express our regret that the Library committee were not in a better position to study the requirements and necessities of that part from which the building takes its name.
