(FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) MELBOURNE, August 18th. A private telegram received by Messrs. Henty and Co., from Foochow, gives the export of this season’s tea to the colonies to date as eight million pounds, not nine million pounds, as stated in previous telegrams. BRISBANE, Saturday. The polling for the general election is proceeding. The following ministers have been re-elected. Sir Thomas M’ll wrath, Premier and Colonial Secetary ; Mr Archer, Colonial Treasurer ; and Mr Perkins, Secretary for Lands. The final returns from Townsville has not yet been received and therefore it is uncertain whether Mr M'Rossan, Secretary for Public Works, has been re-elected. Mr King, Speaker of Assembly, has been defeated for Maryborough.
