THE BROMLEY CASE.
(to the editor. | Sir,—Before leaving this town for a distant colony, I feel that it is u duty I owe to you and the community generally to acknowledge the kindness for the generc us sympathy which has been shown towards myself and my mother; It would be impossible for us to remain in the same place with a man who would, had he bfcfcn able, have sullied the fair name of his wife arid mvve cast dishonor and shame upon her children. He is left to the bitterness of his own reflections) and the only atonement that he. can make during the brief term of his remaining years is by showing himself of a contrite heart, and truly repentant for all his past cruelties to those whom he should have loved and cherished, instead of having forsaken them for these many long years. Yours frith* fully, S. A. Bromley. Giabarne, 10th August 1883.
