THE EARTHQUAKE AT ISCHIA.
NAPLES, July 81. Later accounts from Isohia report that fully 5,000 persons lost their lives st Ca**amiooiola, and in the neighborhood. Efforts have bean made to extrioato the bodies of those who perished from ths ruin* and inter them, but the air la now poisoned with (pestilential effluvia, and all that can now bo done is to cover tho corpses with quicklime, and allow them to remain. Vesuvius, which has shewn signs of activity since the late earthquake at Isohia, io now in eruption. At Isohia 1,000 bodies have bsen taken from among the ruins.
