CARLAW SMITH & CO., Have received instructions from Mr JAMES MACILDOWIE to sell by Auction within their Auction Rooms, Gisborne on— FRIDAY, 3no of AUGUST, At Noon. The subdivision section, no. 20, Pouawa Block, containing 386 acrei land, well known as Macildowie’s land. The section is an exceedingly fine piece of land, about 200 acres cleared, the remainder mixed useful bush, soil very superior, a large portion flat laud, and all well watered. In consequence of the scarcity of Timber in the Gisborne District, the Timber on this Section will soon be of much value. The land is situated about 10 miles from Gisborne, and a mile and a half from the beach, where goods can be landed. The Government Inland Main Road from Gisborne to Tologa Bay passes through this section. The Auctioneers confidently recommend this land to the notice of intending settlers.
