PARLIAMENTARY.
(From our own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON. In the Legislative Council, on Tuesday, the Criminals Execution Bill was read a third time and passed. The Otago Harbor Board Re-construction Bill was read a first time. In reply to a question, it was stated that Government had decided for the present to prohibit the importation of all live stock to the Colony, In the House of Representatives, tne Waimate High School Bill aud the Wanganui Bridge Biil were read a first time. In Committee of Supply, a resolution allowing imprest payments for another month was agreed to. On Major Atkinson’s motion, the Property Tax Bill was read a second time, and ordered to be committed on Thursday. The Bankruptcy Bill was further amended and reported. The Bills of Exchange Bill was further considered in Committee and reported with amendments. The Married Women’s Property Bill was also considered in Committee, and progress was reported.
