JNT 011 ce . /'CERTAIN fictitious proceedings having been instituted with the object of ob‘aining possession, by Lawless Means, of the Keteh “ LUCY JAMES,” I, AUGUSTE MILLER, Master of the said Ketch, as representing the owner, FREDERICK CARDEN, hereby give notice that I shall proceed to clear the vessel THIS DAY for East Coast Ports, and I shall, for the said owner, hold any person vexatiously attempting to interfere with the clearance, or departure of the said vessel, responsible at law for any such attempt, and in such event I shall report the matter, by telegraph, to the Collector of Customs in Wellington, and to the Minister of Justice. TVTOTICE is hereby given that on the 12th day of July, 1883, the Council will make a general rate of Three Farthings in the pound on all property within the County ; for the period commencing Ist of April, 1883, nnd ending 31st March 1884, payable in one sum on the first day of August, 1883. On the same date the Council will make a special rate of one eighteenth of a penny in the pound on all property within the Counay to extend over a period of 10 years commencing on the Ist day of Apsil, 1883, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1893 : payable in each year in one sum on the Ist day of March.
