The trial of Joseph Brady, the first of the twenty-one prisoner* who was committed fot the murder of Lord Frederick Cavendish and Mr Burke, was commenced at Dublin today, In the House of Commons to-day, Sir William Harcourt introduced a Bill for the suppression of dynamite outrage*. The measure provides among other things that persons found guilty of usihg explosives faf Illegal purposes will be liable to penal aervlt ude for life, and conspirator* and maker* of dyilmite and their abettor* to penal servitude for not more than twenty or leu than 14 years. April 10. The death is announced of Sir Geo, Alfred Arney, late Chief Justice of New Zealand, The Government Bill for the suppression of dynamite explosions and manufactures of explosives passed through both House* of Parliament last night. The frozen mutton In th* Ship Dunedin, which arrived from Port Chalmer*, arrived in excellent condition. A portion of the cargo was placed on the market to-day, and realised 7d per lb. In consequence of the alarm which prevails as to Fenian outrages in London, additional troop* are being aent to the Metropolitan Barrack*, and the guards at the public buildings are being further increased. _ OTTAWA, April 10. A report is current of an intended Fenian outrage in this city. Considerable alarm ha* been created.
