RUMORED DEATH OF MR JAMES SCRIMGEOUR.
It was rumored in town yesterday that Mr James Scrimgeour, late of Matawhero, had committed suicide at Taranaki, by drowning himself, a few months ago Mr Scrimgeour left this district in consequence of ill health, and went south, where he hoped to recruit himself. We sincerely hope the rumour is not true.
