The schooner Hannah Barrett, which is reported as missing is insured in the Victoria Office for £5OO. No further information has been received about the vessel. Mr E. Daniel Scallon, a publican, was arrested on c, charge of perjury in connection with a Sunday trading prosecution. In the Cambrfdffe Native ejectment case; E. B. Wwikr pleaded guilty to forcible entry The other defendants were discharged by Judge Gillies as servants lactins under Walker's orders. Walker was oraered to enter into his own recognizances of to appear at the next sitting of the Com t for sentence, if in the moantime it was shown \ that the Natives have had their claim for** damages satisfied, then the fine imposed would be just sufficient to vindicate law, and clear expenses to Government. In the event of their claims not being settled, it would then become a matter for consideration of the Court.
