The Timaru Hrrald gives ths following instance of a prolific crop. Eight acres of a paddock of wheat belonging to Mr Studholme near willow Bridge was threshed for -the purpose of procuring straw for thaething stacks. The product of the eight acres was 831 bushels of seconds and a small quantity of inferior wheat unfit for milling, per acre. The total quantity of grain per acre was 1025 bushels. From the appearance of the crop there is reason to believe this is no more than the average yeild of the whole paddock of 358 acres. k
