She again sailed alwut 1.30 p.m. for Auckland, calling in at Tauranga on her way. The Southern Cross dropped anchor in the Bay at 6.30 a.tn. yesterday from Wellington and Napier. She left early last evening for Auckland via Tnparoa. The Union Company’s new steamer, the Taiawera, will arrive early on Sunday morning from Melbourne via the Bluff and Southern Ports. As we believe she is the i largest of the Company’s fleet, and has about the beat accommodation, we advise our readers to take the opportunity and visit her on her arrival, though other chances will offer, as this is to be her future port of call. She is lighted up with Edison’s new electric light.
