The tables were beautifully decorated with the ; choicest of flowers, which added greatly to i enticing apscarance of the tempting viands, ; which were in abundance. The tables were ’ presided over by Mesdamee Kurtain, East, j Reynolds, Veal, Stevenson, Haachc, Robin son and Mogridge, assisted by the Misses Jellcy, Reynolds, Richards, Adair, Kurtain, Mogridge and Cherrington. After tea Mr Kurtain was called to the chair, when the Revs. Hamilton, and McAra and C. A. DeLautour, M.H.R. delivered addresses to the assembly. The latter gentleman giving the young Minister some sound and excellent advice. Mr Kurtain, on behalf of the Wesleyan congregation, in a suitable address, presented the Rev. L. Hudson with a handsome Bible, as a slight token of their esteem. Mr Hudson in a very appropriate speech returned thanks and expressed his regret in leaving them, which concluded a most successful and enjoyable meeting. During the evening the choir rendered some creditable anthems. About £2O was received for admission, notwithstanding the counter attraction of the Opera.
