GISBORNE HARBOR BOARD
' At the fortnightly meeting on Tuesday ; evening there were present The Chairman, j Messrs Tutchen, Lewis, Whinray, Tucker, I Brown, Smith, Chrisp, and Townley. I A letter from Mr A. Fraser, of the U.S.S. i Co., re the wharf accommodation, was coni sidcred. ' Mr Whinray moved, and Mr Tutchen so--1 condcd, “That the letter be acknowledged, ! and Mr Fraser informed that the matter is under the consideration of the Board, and when Government approves of the plans increased wharf accommodation will be provided." Carried. It was moved by Mr Whinray, seconded by Mr Brown, “That the Secretary write to the Minister of Marine asking if the plans ' of the proposed wharf extension sent have ; been approved by Government, and if so, l when may we expect them : also that a copy i of the letter received from the agent of the j U.S.S. Co. be sent.” Carried. It was resolved that the Secretary see the . wharfinger and get him to explain the item j cf £7 2s 7d. 1 The remaining business was unimportant.
