The total reserve in ; nbtes and bullion in the Bank of England if* » £13,900,000, The proportion of reserve to i liabilities is 42 per cent. The market for Colonial bread stuffs continues weak; Adelaide wheat, ex store, has declined to 50s. New Zealand wheat remainsat 465, and Adelaide flour, 34s fid, Australian tallow is dull at 39s for beef, and 43s for mutton. During the present week the catalogues at the wool sales have aggregated to 42,000b15., of wnich 6000 have been withdrawn. A good demand has been experienced, and prices are firmly maintained. The withdrawals from sale since the opening of the scries amount to 18,000 bales, out of a total of 235,000 catalogued, The second scries of wool auctions commence on the 16th May, and is expected to comprise 350,000 bales.
