In all the policies of life insurance these, among a host of other (juestion, occur : — “Age of father, if living?” A mau in Christchurch the other day filling up an application made his fathers age. “ if living ” 112 years, and his mother s 102. The agent was amazed at this showing, and fancied he hud got an excellent subject: but, feeling somewhat dubious, remarked that the mau came of a very long-lived family. “ Oh, you see, sir. ' replied the applicant, “ my parents died many years ago, but ‘if living would be aged as they arc put down.” “ Oh I see,” said the agent.
