The administration of the Wills of persons who by appointing the Public Trustee!** their executor secure the guarantee of the State for the due fulfilment of their wishes, and avoid the risk consequent on the appointment of private persons as executors, who not unfrequently, though earnestly desirous of acting for the benefit of parties interested, fail to carry out legally the objects for which they were appointed, and consequently involve themselves and those whose interests they are striving to protect in costly and harassing litigation. 3.
