The way the Conservatives “ agitate. " — A gang of hired individuals recently waited on a number of Parliament as a deputation against the closure. They were to call themselves Conservative working men, and be paid a shilling a head This disreputable imposition was so successful that the men were hired again to be a deputation to a member of the late Government, and this having been well worked and put forward as the “ opinon of the country, ” the same impostors were hired again for a further Conservative fraud. They were attend a Conservitive indignation meeting at the Westminister Palace Hotel and condemn "[the Goverement’s gagging resolution " ; their fee was to be Is 6d per head, and they were to bring all the men they could get at the same price. The men attended, oondemd, etc., and then Couldn’t get their money. If anything Were needed to show the condition of the Opposition this is sufficient.— 1 Referee. 1
