NOTICE is hereby given that at a Gen. eral Meeting at this Council, held on the 23rd of February, it was resolved that the present Ridings of Arai, Waimata, Tologa, and Waiapu be abolished, and the following Bidings constituted i— That the ARAI RIDING contain the Patutahi and Arai Road Districts, and the outlying districts extending to the Southern Boundary of the Waikohu Highway District, and the Eastern and Southern boun* daries of the County, That the Waikohu Road District be the WAIKOHU RIDING. That the TOLAGO RIDING contain the Turanganui Road District, and the outlying district bounded on the North by Mangatokerau and Ngtawhikawhaka Block. That the WAIAPU RIDING extend from the northern boundaries of the Waikohu and Tologa Riding to the northern boundary of the County. TVT OTICE is hereby given that the Valuation List for the outlying districts of Cook County, is now open for inspection at the office of the Bouncil, Gladstone Road, Gisborne. As the Valuations under the Property Assessment Aet, ore thoee upon which the County Rate will be struck ; all parsons an requested to examine the list now cn view at the offices of the several Road Boards, and (if necessary) make objection thereto, by sending notice of their objections to the Property Tax Commissioner, Wellington. The limit of Rating Power, given to a County Council, is Three Farthings in the £1 on the valuations now made, if the property is within a Road District, which rate may be considered equivalent to the former rate of One Shilling in the £1 on the rental value.
