The return cricket match, Town v. Country. will be played next Saturday at the Recreation Ground, commencing at 2.30 sharp. The sides will be chosen from the following;—Town : Messrs Bull, Nolan Rev. Hudson, Dr. Leggatt, Reynolds, D’Emden, Thelwall, Winter, Brown, Barnes, T. Morgan, F. Morgan, Johnstone, Reardon, and Nash. Country: Messrs Bilham, W. L. Rees, E. Rees, Carroll, Woodhead, Bloomfield, Day, Valpy, White, Evans, Sherratt, Scragg, Wyllie, and Ferris. Messrs Graham, Pitt and Bennett intimate that they will hold their regular sales of wool and sheepkins on the first Thursday in each month, at 12 o’clock, noon; live stock at Makaraka, every alternate Wednesday at 2o’clock, p.m., and at Waereng-a-hika on the third Tuesday in each month at 2 o’clock in the afternoon.
