The election to-day hae been keenly eontested, and the five candidates, are each and all confident of victory. Vehicles of all descriptions have been in use, in order to convey lasy voters to the poll, and indefatigabls canvas Mrs have been talking volnmnes in favor of their irrespective men. It will not, however, be until after the Stamdabd has been placed in the hands of moot of ota readers that the result will be made known. There are five good men in the field, and we can only express a hope that the best two will secure seats.
