St. Valentine’s Day is not without its little amusement, even in sucn an out of the way place as Gisborne. Some of the typos in the Standard Office to-day received some kind remembrances from, no doubt, their lady friends. It was somewhat amusing, however, to see one of those individuals, opening a letter containing a portrait of a “ genius of the long eared kind ” with a large pewter pot to his mouth. Fie for shame you naughty rascal whoever you are.
