King Theobaw has been presented by hi® Queen with another daughter. The event (according to the St. James'e Gazette) hae cauaed great disappointment, at the Mandalay Court. It is very awkward for the King, because, aa he has killed all hie broth-re except those in exile in India, one of these princes must be his successor in default of male issue As these exiled princes are all of them older than Theebaw, and have adherente in royal city, they would natually not be unwilling to accelerate liis majesty’s departure. Last year, when Soopayah Lat, the Queen, gave birth to a daughter, the King was eo annoyed that he forthwith married two other wives. The chief Queen, however, soon procured the execution of one of these, and with her of all her relations about the Court. The other Queen was discarded. It is possible that some such melodrama will be enacted as a consequence of this fresh disappointment to the King. Theebaw certainly cannot compare in one respect with hie lamented father, the late King. That pious monarch had four or five sons every year, and left a matter of four score behind him. One satisfactory result of the present state of affairs will be, however, that the next sovereign will not be under the deplorable neceseeity of killing all his blood relations.
