STANLEY & DARBYSHIRE'S JUVENILE OPERA TROUPE.
H.M.S. PINAFORE. There was a large attendance at Parnell and Boylan’s Hall last, evening to witness the production of this popular opera by Messrs Stanley and Darbyshire’s Juvenile Opera Troupe. The performance was very successful, and the children throughout the piece were loudly applauded. The solos and duetts were excellently rendered, but the choruses were somewhat shakey. On the whole however we were highly pleased with the opera. Where all did so well, it, would be invidious to mention one or two names, and as we have neither time nor space to fairly criticise the individual members, wc shall simply praise them in a lump. The Grand Pantomime of Jack the Giant Killer will be performed to-night, and also at the Matinee to-morrow afternoon.
