Wai parr, will leave Hokitika, on sth Jan., 1883, for Ok art to, jacksen’s Bay, and Southern Ports gf West Coaet of the Middle Island. A steamer of the Peninsular and Oriental line leaves Melbourne on Ist 1 eh, Correspondence specially so addressed and prepaid the Brindisi rates of postage, vix., eightpence per half-ounce, Will be forwarded by every opportunity. On and after the Ist January, 1883, a post office will be opened at Mr Steven’s store, Fatutahi; also at Mr J Wallace’s, Matawhero. Mails close at Gisborne on Tuesday and Friday, at noon J. Sheimptoi, Chief Postmaster.
