We are indebted to Mr Fraser, the Agent of ths Union 8.8. Company, for a bandy little brochure, containing the time table for January, particulars of the excureion season, and guide to Government railways.
The thermometer registered yesterday, in the shade, under a verandah, having a northern aepect, 90 deg. i in the house, 84. Today. in the same place* and the same hour, 65 deg. A eudden lowering of the temperature amounting to 25 degree*. A real >tralght-out genuine cocktail i* advertised a* being obtainable at the Masonic Hotel.
Mr Fryer'* brake will start at two o’clock to-motrow afternoon for Makaraka. Thia will give ample time for all who desire to witness the match between Morning Star and Tartar.
On Monday next, Messrs. Carlaw Smith, and Co., will sell by auction, the whole of Mr Wm. Clarke’s valuable furniture. A glance at the advertisement will show the nature and qualify of the article* which will submitted for public competition.
