Chikf Post Ofhgb, Gisborne For Napier, Wellington and South, alscAhe Australian Colonies, per Rotomahana, on Friday, Dec. 22nd at 3.30 p.m. For Auckland and Sydney, per Ringarooma, on Saturday, Dec. 23rd, at 7 pm. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, Asia, Africa, America and West Indies via San Francisco, also the Sandwich Islands, on Friday, 29th Dec., at 3 p.m. Money orders may be obtained and letters registered until 2 p.m. same day. This mail will be due in London on the 12th February, 1883. On Christmas and New Year’s Day the Post Once will be closed, and the Telegraph Office open only from & to 10 a.m. A steamer of the Peninsular and Oriental line leaves Melbourne on 4th Jan. Correspondence specially so addressed and prepaid the Brindisi rates of postage, vis., eightpence per half-ounce, will be forwarded ey every opportunity. On and after the let January, 1883, a poet office will be opened at Mr Steven's store. Patutahi; also at Mr J Wallace's, Mata where. Mails close at Gisborne on Tuesday and Friday, at noon J. Shrimptox, Chief Poetmaster.
