CORRESPONDENCE.

We do not hold ourselves responsible tor the opinions expressed by our corespondents], :o: TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —In the list of tenders for Mr Espie’s house, appearing in your issue of yesterday, my name is at the head of the list, a large amount above all the others. Allow me to explain that through an oversight of mine in not making sufficient enquiry, I tendered for carpenter, painter, plumber and bricklayer’s work, whereas the others only gave a price for carpenter’s work. I think this will show the public that I am not so wild and extravagant as appears at first sight.—l am &c., John Somervell. Gisborne, Dec. 14th, 1882.
