Shejwill be rigged as a twomasted fore-and-aft schooner, with a flying square foresail. The cost of the vessel (which will be ready for trial in about 12 months) will not be much less than £40,000. The smaller gunboat will be 120 ft long, 115 ft on the waterline, 25ft broad, 12ft Gin deep, having a draught of 9ft 6in, and a displacement of about 350 tons. Her engines will indicate about 400-horse power, and the guaranteed speed will be 10 Knots.
