MAIL NOTICES.
Chief Post Office, Gisborne For Auckland, per Te Anau, on Saturday, Dec. 9th, at 7. p.m. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, Asia, Africa, America and West Indies via San Francisco, also the Sandwich Islands, on Friday, 29th Dec., at 3 p.m. Money orders may be obtained and letters registered until 2 p.m. same day. This mail will be due in London on the 12th February, 1883. The next inward European mails via San Francisco is due at Gisborne on Friday, Dec. loth. The next steamer of the P and 0 leaves Melbourne on December 21st On and after the Ist January, 1883, a post office will be opened at Mr Steven’s store, Patutahl; also at Mr J Wallace's, Matawhero. Mails close at Gisborne on Tuesday and Friday, at noon J. Shrimpton, Chief Postmaster.
