The former said he would certainly have felt hurt had he not been elected, as he was ro much older a resident than Mr Lewis. Mr Lewis said that although uf course be did not like to be beaten, he wotild put tip With it, and would assist to the best of his power the new Mayor in everything calculated to benefit the Borough,
