DEATH OF MR. HENRY HARRIS.
It !.* with great regret we have to record ; the demise of Mr Henry Harris which took i place early this morning at the Waikanae. ■ The deceased gentleman had for some time I past been ailing, but latterly his sickness so I <nue’i: increased that his friends were not SurI prised when the dread tyrant stretched forth J his hand and seized from amongst us one I whom every body respected, and one to whom I very many resident in the district were in- ! debted to for substantial kindnesses. No ! tired out traveller ever hud reason to pass Mr i Harris’ house when he resided at Te Arai, one ' and all were welcome, high or low, rich or ' poor, were treated alike. He was generous to i a fault, and Iris very many friends will grieve 1 over his death, at the comparatively early age , or 45.
