THE LATE CONCERT. TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I observe that in your notice and your contemporary’s notice of the amateur concert in aid* of the Hospital on the 9th inst, you in your criticism of the performance, absolutely avoid making the slightest mention of the piano which was so kindly lent by Mr Whinray for the occasion. I think he is deserving of the thanks of the public for allowing a valuable instrument, such as the piano in question to be sent tol tho Hall for the purpose. And that the! least thing that could have been done under] the circumstances was to acknowledge the| kindness displayed by Mr Whinray. Thatl gentleman may not have any desire for it, but it is only right that an intimation of the| fact should be made public.—l anij &c., Amateur. [We regret the omission, as credit should be given where credit is due.—En., P.B.S.]
