Makaraka Race Meeting. The settling for the above race meeting took place at the Roseland Hotel last evening when the following prizes were handed over to the respective winners :— £ s E. R. H. Smith, coupled with the names of Messrs Doleman and Durston. “ The Stewards,” by Mr M. H. Smith, who spoke in high terms of the way the meeting had been carried out, and specially noted the energy and courtesy displayed by the Hon. Sec. (Mr A.
