HOSPITAL FETE COMMITTEE.
A meeting of the Fete Committee of the Poverty Bay Hospital was held last evening at the Resident Magistrate’s Court-house, at half-past seven o’clock. There were present - Messrs Chri.sp (in the chair), Cresswell, Tucker, McKay, Pavitt, Winter, and J. Berry. the site for the fete. It was moved by Mr Pavitt, seconded by Mr Cresswell, and carried, that the site be the same as last year, and that Mr H. McKay and Mr Cresswell take the necessary steps to secure the site for November ,30th. officers. The following officers were appointed : — His Worship the Mayor, President ; Capt. Chrisp, Vice-President. Judges: Messrs Crawford and Berry. Starter: Captain Winter. Handicappers : Messrs Primrose and H. Cooke. Referee : Mr M. McLeod. Secretaries : Messrs 11. McKay and Quigley. THE PROGRAMME. A preliminary programme was drawn up, to be approved of at a meeting to be held next Monday, and published on the following day. Messrs McKay and Chrisp were asked to collect subscriptions for the forthcoming fi-tu. The meeting then adjourned.
