[reuter’s telegrams]. BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.—(COPYRIGHT.) LONDON, Oct. 26. The British Government has intimated that it is prepared to receive tenders for a supply of Australian meat to the army. The Homeward Australian mail via Brindisi which left Melbourne on the 12th September was delivered to-day. In both Houses of Parliament to-day, a vote of thanks to the army engaged in Egypt was passed without opposition. In the House of Commons Mr Gladstone warmly eulogised tho conduct of the officers and men of the B-itish and Indian forces during the campaign. The Premier announced that tho Government would shortly propose that annuities should be grunted to Sir Garnet Wolseley and Sir Beauchamp Seymour for their services. In the House of Lords to day, Lord Granville, Foreign Secretary, in reply to % a question declined to make any statement at the present time as to the intentions of the Government in regard to tho final settlement of affairs in Egypt. ALEXANDRIA, Oct. 26. The evidence of an officer who was guarding the Courts of <1 ustice at Alexandria at the time of the Bombardment, inculpatfa Arabi in the burning of the city.
