The weather still keeps fine, and all the horses engaged in the Derby and Cup are training assidiously. Frying Pan had a gallop over the Derby distance (1| miles) to-day and finished well in 2mins 48isecs. His price is now 100 to 8, taken. Segenhoe and Hecla had a strong gallop for about a mile, the colt having the best of it for the last five furlongs, the time was Imin Darebin was sent once round and finished very strong. Jessie and Lord JBurghley also went once roundjthe coursegthe filly having allthe best at the finish. King of the Vale did useful work, and. is now fancied a little for the Cup. His price is now 100 to 6, taken. Sting and Pollio went the Cup distance this afternoon, the former finishing in grand style. October 27. (Received Oct. 27th, 2 p.m.) All the Adelaide and Sydney horses have arrived. Prometheus is reported to have gone wrong. Guesswrok has been doing good work, and this morning did the 7 furionga very fast. He is now at 100 to 12 (tk.) Frying Pan did a mile this morning at full speed. His price is 100 to 10, offered. Darebin, Savanaka, Lord Burghlyy and Segenhoe did strong gallops for the Derby. Navigator’s price is 5 to 4, he is much wanted at 6to 4. 100 to 8 has been taken about Boolka, and 100 to 25 about Segenhoe. Little Jack, Sting and Sweet William remain at 8 to 1. Mistaken and Cunnamulla 10 to 1. Savanaka 100 tos(tk.) Santa Claus and Stockwell, 100 to 4 (tk.) The Drummer 100 to 3 offered.
