Messrs Oarlaw Smith and Co., will sell at their Auction Mart, to-morrow, at 12 o’clock, a quantity of furniture. Their sale of horses will take place at 11 o'clock a.m. The following is a list of the cattle exhibited at the Poverty Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society’s Show, held on Wednesday last at Patutahi, the Judges being Messrs Gardiner and Bennett:—s entries, Bloomfield and Wyllie’s Cossack, first prize ; also Dominion, Duke, and Englishman, and Mr J. W. Johnson's bull. Best bull over one and under two years, first prize: J. Price. Best bull, 3 years and upwards, first prize : C, Evans; second do, J. W. Johnson's Earl of Suffolk. There wore three other entries. For host bull of any age : first prize,, silver modal; second prize, £1: C. Evans's bull first prize, and J. W. Johnson's Earl uf Hatfolk second. There was one more entry. For best heifer under 12 months i Bloomfield and Wyllie’s Meadow Bank took the prize, there only being the one entry. For best heifer over ouo and under three years : Mr W. Smith took first prize. Mr J. W. Sunderland also entered a heifer. For the best heifer over two and under three years : Mr W. Smith’s red heifer pulled off first, and Mr J. Price’s heifer and calf, bred by Canning, second prize. There were three other entries oy G. and L. Sunderland. For the best cow of any age, prize|£ Inhere werejseven entries, the prize being awarded to Mr C. E. Espie. In the miscellaneous class for the dairy cow showing best milking qualities, there were three entries, Mr J. Alien’s cow Lady taking first honors.
