There was a fair attendance at Messrs Graham, Pitt and Bennett’s horse sale today. Light hacks were quoted at from £4 to £B. There was no demand for draught horses. Messrs Graham, Pitt and Bennett sold by auction to-day the booths, etc., iuconnection with the Agricultural Show. The two publican's booths were purchased by Mr W. Cooper for £7 10s and £3, and the refreshment booth by Mr Hayden for £5 ss. The right of sports realised 10s. The gates were not offered. Mr Towsey's concert at McFarlane's Hall, this afternoon, was not no well attended as it deserved to bo. Tho different parts of the programme were well and carefully rendered, Mr Crawford presiding at the pianoforte. It is a pity that these pleasant reunions are not more numerously attended, but we trust that Mr Towsey will persevere and that he will ultimately meet with the success he so fully deserves. Owing to the Agricultural Show Messrs Graham, Pitt and Bennett have postponed their cattle sale to Wednesday, Nov. Ist. A special prize of £2 2s for the best local made buggy aud cart exhibited at the forthcoming Agricultural Show has beeu offered by T. E. R. Bloomfield Esq.
