SHIPPING.

The Union Company's Rotorua left Auckland at 1 o’clock to-day, and will arrive here tomorrow afternoon. about 4 o'clock. She brings the Gisborne portion .of the English Mail. The schooner Gisborne dropped down to the lower wharf during last night; she will leave for Auckland . via the East Coast to-morrow. The scow or plunger (as it is sometimes termed) Lagoon proceeded to the Big River this morning with a load of posts. The s.s. Oreti has arrived at Auckland with her cattle safe, and with only the loss of two or three sheep notwithstanding the bad weather she must have encountered. She will leave this evening for Gisborne, and should arrive here on Sunday morning, leaving again for Napier, and returning to this port on Tuesday morning.
