Arawata has been altered from Sunday, the 22nd, to Monday, the 23rd, when she will leave for Auckland at 8 a.m. The Forest Queen from this port h?s arrived at Havelock near Picton, her port of destination. The steamer Lalla Rookh, the safety of which has caused great excitement for the past three or four days, arrived at Waitara, at 11 o’clock last night. On Thursday morning finding the sea too heavy there, he lilted his anchor and made for Kawhia, and remained there until yesterday morning, when she left, and arrived at Waitara shortly after 7 last evening. The Captain reports that tha whole of the statements in reference to distress signal are incorrect. The only signal used was the usual recognition of Steamers passing by exhibiting a light.
